Conbraco Receives Nomination For S.C. Manufacturer Of The Year
Conbraco Industries, Inc. was recently nominated by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce for its prestigious Manufacturer of the Year Award. Conbraco manufactures the Apollo® Valves brand of ball valves and other flow control products such as backflow preventers, mixing valves and pressure relief valves.
The company opened its first manufacturing plant in South Carolina in 1968. Conbraco now operates three plants in the state, which employ approximately 1200 people. The company's bronze and steel foundries in Pageland and Conway, S.C. are among the most advanced in the world.
The South Carolina Chamber's Manufacturer of the Year Awards are presented annually to small, medium and large manufacturers. The awards recognize the accomplishments and contributions of South Carolina manufacturers.
Manufacturer of the Year nomination is based upon Quality of Life Programs, Quality Improvement Efforts, Improvements in the Environment, Involvement in the Local Community and Overall Effectiveness.
